Winter Music Conference, now officially part of Miami Music Week, returns to Faena Forum this March 25-28 for its 34th annual edition.
The 43,000 square-foot OMA-designed Faena Forum serves as the perfect launch pad and congregation point for dance music’s most innovative artists, songwriters, DJs and producers. Newly operating under the umbrella of Ultra Worldwide, WMC will offer two segments: WMC Industry for music professionals, and WMC Access, catering to enthusiasts and amateur musicians who want to learn more about the dance music industry. This year’s keynote speakers include founder of the podcast, “Team Human,” Dr. Douglas Rushkoff, who will discuss what it means to stay human in a digital age; Dutch DJ and “A State of Trance” founder Armin van Buuren; “Trainspotting” author Irvine Welsh, and platinum-selling DJ and producer Sam Feldt. Engaging panels will cover topics from how to get your start in the electronic music industry to innovation and brand building as an independent label. Upgraded industry badges
have access to exclusive presentations including current market trends, the rise of music recognition technology, and meaningful information on how to get one’s music synced with brands, film and television. Special guest performances will also surprise attendees throughout the symposium
