Plot

“Connection” is a crime investigation thriller drama which depicts a distorted friendship while tracking the death of a friend from high school who died leaving behind five billion won (approximately $3.7 million) in insurance.

It is a psychological drama in which an ace detective from the drug team who was forcibly addicted to drugs by someone uses his friend's death as a clue to uncover the full story of the connection, a friendship that has lasted for 20 years.

Jang Jae Kyung (Ji Sung) is an Inspector of the narcotics team at Anhyun Police Station who receives the respect of juniors and the trust of seniors within the police. Jang Jae Kyung keeps his distance from friends and family in order to make no weaknesses and always sticks to principles when it comes to work.

Oh Yoon Jin (Jeon Mi Do) is an opinionated and outspoken reporter in the social affairs department of Anhyun Economic Daily. Because she is the type of person who cannot ignore injustice, Oh Yoon Jin was unfairly dismissed from her previous job. After returning to the city of Anhyun, she decides to become a shameless reporter and thinks of friendship as money
