Spider-man 2 cast and voice actors for the PS5 game

July 2024 · 15 minute read

There’s a lot of new and returning faces in the latest Spidey adventure, all of which are expertly portrayed through great writing and stellar voice acting. However, this does make the web of characters, their relationships, and the talent bringing them to life on the screen a little tricky to keep track of. Well, we’ve got the full Spider-Man 2 cast PS5 and voice actors for the game so you can pinpoint all the voices and faces you come across during your playthrough.

Much like the Spider-Man 2 PS5 characters you’ll meet, the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 voice actors list is stacked full of strong talent. With the action-packed and emotional story Insomniac has cooked up going into the third game, it’s no surprise that it’s one of the best PS5 games, as our Spider-Man 2 review attests to.

Spider-Man 2 cast PS5

The Spider-Man 2 cast and voice actors list for the PS5 game is as follows:

These are some extremely talented voice actors that bring Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 to life, from Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter reprising their roles as the lead Spider-Men to Tony Todd and Jim Pirri joining the cast as Venom and Kraven respectively.

If you’re interested in learning more about the voice actors behind the biggest characters and where you might have seen them before, keep reading.

Yuri Lowenthal – Peter Parker (Spider-Man)

Yuri Lowenthal returns as Peter Parker and Spider-Man in the sequel, offering up even more emotional and intense scenes. However, Lowenthal has also done great work outside of Marvel’s Spider-Man, such as voicing Ben 10, Benni Baro in the Star Wars The Bad Batch animated show and various characters in Psychonauts 2. Having starred in hundreds of games, TV shows, and films, it’s highly likely that you’ve heard his voice before, even if you couldn’t quite place your finger on it.

On the role, Lowenthal expressed that “I’ll be honest, I’m just excited that at my age they still let me play Spider-Man, or that they ever let me play Spider-Man in the first place”, during an interview with Phase Zero. He went on to say “I’ll do it to my dying breath if they’ll let me because I love it so much. I’ll do it forever if they ask me to but I also understand if at some point they’re like, ‘You know what, we’re going to have to switch gears.’ And I’d be like, ‘You know what? I had a good run.'” It’s clear that Lowenthal loves playing Spider-Man, so we’re glad to report that his performance in Spider-Man 2 PS5 is as excellent as ever.

Nadji Jeter – Miles Morales (Spider-Man)

Nadji Jeter also reprises his role as Miles Morales and Spider-Man, leading the narrative alongside Peter Parker. His acting talent lent great vulnerability and intensity to Miles in the original game and even more so in the Spider-Man Miles Morales spin-off. This top-notch performance continues once more in Spider-Man 2 PS5, as both Miles and Peter reach their boiling points while saving the city.

Likewise, you might recognise him as Sam from The Last of Us game, a similarly intense role. Other than that, Jeter has portrayed Miles in the Spider-Man animated TV series, so long-time fans of the character will no doubt recognise him.

In an interview with Marvel, Jeter spoke about Miles’ place in the narrative, stating that “Miles is definitely growing up”, “we see him go through the changes from a young high school kid, going through the puberty changes and just through the manhood changes and then now becoming his own.” Leading into the third game in the series, Miles has changed a lot and “he’s definitely owning a lot more of what he’s become”, as Jeter notes.

Laura Bailey – Mary-Jane ‘MJ’ Watson

Laura Bailey is a well-known voice actor reprising her role as MJ in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Bailey has starred in a huge array of games, TV shows, and films, including The Legend of Vox Machina animated series, Magik in Midnight Suns, Fiona in Tales from the Borderlands, and Abby in The Last of Us Part 2. Like Lowenthal and Jeter, Bailey’s acting chops make for some highly emotional scenes as our favorite characters are pushed to their limits.

Mark Rolston – Norman Osborn

Mark Rolston returns as the iconic Norman Osborn, with an even bigger role in the sequel given his son, Harry Osborn, has a pivotal place in the story. Nevertheless, Mark Rolston’s control brings a commanding presence to Norman Osborn that makes him a formidable villain.

Outside of Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, you’re likely to have heard or seen Mark Rolston in the recent Ahsoka TV series as Captain Hayle or as Lt. Don Throne in Bosch and Bosch: Legacy. However, it’s not Rolston’s first rodeo in games, having played President Andrew Ellis in The Division 2 and Portal 63 in Star Trek: Resurgence.

Graham Phillips – Harry Osborn

Speaking of the Osborn family, Harry Osborn also returns in Spider-Man 2 PS5. His relationship with Peter Parker forms the backbone of the narrative, so we certainly see a lot of the stellar performance from Phillips, especially with the Symbiote in the mix. Harry Osborn hasn’t had a pivotal role so far in the series, but Graham Phillips’ performance is now centre stage.

Graham Phillips previously portrayed Nick St. Clair in several episodes of Riverdale, Nate in Atypical, and has had numerous leading roles in theatre shows like The Little Mermaid Live.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 voice actors: Venom roaring in the street.

Tony Todd – Venom

Tony Todd is a new addition to the cast, voicing the iconic villain Venom. Best known for his chilling performance as the titular Candyman, it should be no surprise that Todd’s menacing portrayal of Venom is excellent.

From the very first moment we heard his voice during the Spider-Man 2 PS5 trailers, we though he was the perfect choice, nailing the unbridled rage and ferocity of Venom, heightened by the eeriness of the character’s design.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 voice actors: Kraven the Hunter with his soldiers behind him.

Jim Pirri – Kraven the Hunter

Another new addition to the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 cast list for PS5, Jim Pirri voices Kraven the Hunter, one of the main villains in the sequel. If you’ve played God of War Ragnarok, another of Sony’s stellar exclusives, then you’ll recognise him as Birgir. Otherwise, he’s featured as Captain Benjamin Mathius in Dead Space, Flambe in Return to Monkey Island, and several other high profile games, films, and TV shows.

As the main villain alongside Venom, Jim Pirri’s acting chops are front and center throughout the game, delivering a truly menacing performance as Kraven as he seeks to find a worthy foe. Given Pirri’s talents, it’s a shame Kraven himself isn’t more of a pivotal character outside of a handful of scenes.

Mark Whitten – Dr. Curt Connors

Lizard, the scaly Spidey villain, is back in Spider-Man 2 PS5. Mark Whitten voices the man behind the scales and sharp teeth, Dr. Curt Connors. While it’s a supporting character, Whitten’s impact on the story is still felt.

Mark Whitten has been in several popular games besides Spider-Man 2 PS5, including Leviathan from Exoprimal, Kazuha in Genshin Impact, Seteth in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, and small roles in Diablo 4, God of War Ragnarok, and more. However, you might also recognise him from his roles in TV. For example, Whitten plays Reed and several other characters in Goodbye Volcano High, Carlo in Acorda, Carlo!, and Kyojuro Rengoku in Demon Slayer.

Leandro Cano – Sandman

One of the best surprises of Spider-Man 2 PS5 was the arrival of Flint Marko, better known as the Sandman. It’s one of the most tragic yet heart-warming tales in the whole game, and we loved Leandro Cano’s portrayal of this iconic villain.

Leandro Cano is best known for his roles in TV, namely Jim Jones in Jonestown. However, he has also featured as Simon Diaz in the Agent Stoker podcast series and several one-off episodes of CSI Miami, Bull, Castle, and Without a Trace.

Corey Jones – Tombstone

Superhuman crime lord Lonnie Lincoln, or Tombstone for short, isn’t done quite yet. Despite Peter Parker having bested him in the first Spider-Man game, Tombstone is back as a minor character, letting Corey Jones join the Spider-Man 2 cast for the PS5 game. Though Tombstone retired from a life of crime, Kraven’s hunt brought him back, though we don’t want to spoil how his story ends.

While Corey Jones hasn’t been in too much over the years, that doesn’t mean they’re not a talented voice actor. However, if you were to recognise Jones, it would likely be as T’Chanda in the Avengers Assemble TV series. Other than that, he’s had several roles in TV and film, as well as a variety of background voices in inFamous: Second Son.

Chad Doreck – The Flame

Chad Doreck steps into the Spider-Man 2 cast for the PS5 game as Cletus Kassady, better known as The Flame. This dangerous criminal has had multiple aliases over the years, though one thing has remained – he hates Peter Parker’s Spider-Man and Wraith for trying to bring him to justice. Though we’d argue The Flame should look at getting out of a life of crime if he doesn’t want Spider-Man getting in the way.

Nevertheless, Chad Doreck, an award-winning theater, TV, and film actor, does an excellent job as The Flame. As for where you’ve heard his voice before, Doreck played Art in Disney Infinity, the strange purple creature from the Monsters University set. However, he’s also featured as background voices in Grand Theft Auto 5 and San Andreas, inFamous, and H.A.W.X.

Stephen Oyoung – Martin Li (Mister Negative)

Despite his defeat at the end of the first game, Martin Li and his alter ego Mister Negative make a return in Spider-Man 2 PS5, and so too does Stephen Oyoung. We’re glad to see this great villain from the first game return with, arguably, an even greater presence and performance from Oyoung as we see this Martin Li grow.

Chances are, you’ll recognise Stephen Oyoung’s voice from the many popular gaming roles he’s had in the past, including several characters in Starfield, Wallace in Remnant 2, Jason Todd/Red Hood in Gotham Knights, and even KK in Ghostwire Tokyo.

Tara Platt – Yuri Watanabe (Wraith)

Tara Platt reprises her role as Yuri Watanabe, though we see her more as Wraith, her vigilante alter ego. With a much more brazen personality now she’s abandoned her position at the NYPC to become a vigilante, it’s great to see Platt continue the role of Wraith as her character develops.

Tara Platt has had many great roles in games, films, and TV, including Edelgard in Fire Emblem: Engage, Morgante in Cassette Beasts, Millia Rage in Guilty Gear: Strive, Lisa Yadomaru in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, and Agnes Joubert in Tiger & Bunny. With so many roles to her name, you’ve no doubt her heard voice before.

Noshir Dalal – Quentin Beck (Mysterio)

We’re glad to finally see Quentin Beck A.K.A Mysterio finally make their first true appearance in Insomniac’s Spidey games, though we’re most pleased to see Noshir Dalal join the Spider-Man 2 cast. Quentin Beck, an SFX artist and former actor and criminal, has one of the most interesting storylines as you’re never quite sure where his motives and loyalties lie, though we don’t want to spoil anything.

There’s a very high chance that you’ve heard Noshir Dalal outside of the Spider-Man 2 PS5 cast as he’s had several major roles in games before, including the one and only Charles Smith in Red Dead Redemption 2, Rain in Mortal Kombat 1, Thomas Ellicot and Chief Diplomat Yasin in Starfield, a player voice in Remnant 2, and even Bode Akuna in Star Wars: Jedi Survivor. He’s even had minor roles in TV series like Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, Love, Death & Robot, and The Orville.

Jason Spisak – Scorpion

Scorpion just doesn’t quit, coming back as a minor antagonist once again, brining Jason Spisak back to reprise his role in the Spider-Man 2 cast for PS5. While Mac Gargan A.K.A Scorpion has quite a wild ride in this game, Spisak delivered a stellar performance throughout.

As for where you’ve heard Jason Spisak before, it’s likely one of his many games roles. For example, he plays Fergus Wickham and a Va’ruun Zealot in Starfield, Faelin and Faerin in Remnant 2, Elias Kurz in Redfall, a variety of goons in Rachet & Clank: Rift Apart, and even the Hell Priest, Sentinel Priest, and Sentinel Guard in Doom Eternal. While it wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, we thought his role as Raymond ‘Skizzo’ Sarkozi in Days Gone was one of the highlights as we were constantly questioning his motivations.

That’s not all though, as he also plays Silco and Prim in Arcane, The Joker in Teen Titans Go!, Hooper in Blade Runner: Black Lotus, and so much more in the TV industry.

Erica Lindbeck – Black Cat

With Kraven on the hunt for both heroes and villains, Black Cat is back and on the run. Voiced by Erica Lindbeck once again, many fans were eager for Black Cat’s return. Even though she only has a minor role this time around, it’s great to see more of the character and put a satisfying end on her story in some of the most impressive missions in the entire game.

Erica Lindbeck has lots of well-known voice roles in gaming, including the recent Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion where she voices Misty Olszweski. Lindbeck also portrays Ava McCabe in Remnant 2, Peppermint in Hi-Fi Rush, Celica in Fire Emblem: Engage, Captain Marvel in Midnight Suns, and Hrist in God of War: Ragnarok, as well as providing her voice in Star Wars Jedi Survivor, Overwatch 2, and the Dead Space remake.

Darin De Paul – J. Jonah Jameson

Everybody loves the opinionated radio host and Daily Bugle publisher J. Jonah Jameson, so we couldn’t be happier that he’s returned alongside Darin De Paul who has portrayed Jameson throughout Insomniac’s Spidey series.

With a credits list as long as your arm, you’ll no doubt recognise Darin De Paul’s voice. He was Calus in Destiny 2, Revenant in Apex Legends, Reinhardt in Overwatch 1 and 2, Samuel Hayden in Doom and Doom Eternal, and Truman Zanotto in Psychonauts 2, just to name a few.

Ashly Burch – Danika Hart

The iconic Ashly Burch voices the one and only Danika Hart, host of The Danikast podcast that you can listen to while exploring. While this talented voice actor doesn’t have a particularly prominent role, her performance as Danika Hart adds to the immersion of the world Insomniac has created. We love hearing her talk about the characters we’ve met and events of the game in a whole new light, away from the superhero perspective we’re used to.

Given Burch’s extensive credits list, you’ll no doubt have heard her before. For instance, she voices Aloy, the main protagonist of the Horizon series (Zero Dawn and Forbidden West), another PlayStation exclusive. However, she also portrays Tina Tina in the Borderlands series, Mel in The Last of Us Part 2, Parvati in The Outer Worlds, and several characters in Life is Strange, including Chloe Price. She’s also had a prominent role in Critical Role, the popular Dungeons & Dragons series by Matthew Mercer featuring voice actors.

Jacqueline Pinol – Rio Morales

Miles’ mother, Rio, also returns in Spider-Man 2 PS5, and so too does Jacqueline Pinol who voiced her in Spider-Man 1 and the Miles Morales spin-off game.

Pinol has had lots of experience in TV and film, though you’re most likely to recognise her as Detective Julie Espinosa in Bosch. She’s also had smaller roles in CSI: NY, Parenthood, The Mentalist, America Horror Story, Criminal Minds, and more. In fact, she’s also been in a few games, such as Dr. Sofia Amaral in Quantum Break and various Colombian voices in Uncharted 3.

Spider-Man 2 PS5 voice actors: Miles Morales as Spider-Man and Prowler standing next to each other, looking to the left.

Ike Amadi – Aaron Davis (Prowler)

Aaron Davis, perhaps better known as Prowler, has a key role in Miles’ story. During the Miles Morales spin-off, Miles’ and his uncle, under his alter ego Prowler, butted heads frequently. However, by the end of the game, Miles’ determination to do the right thing ultimately changed his uncle for the better. In Spider-Man 2 PS5, we see a different side of Aaron as he turns a new leaf.

And who better for the role than Ike Amadi, who returns once again as Aaron Davis and Prowler. Amadi has a stellar history in voice acting in gaming and animation. Most recently, you might have heard his voice as General Shao in Mortal Kombat 1 or Commander Kibwe Ikande in Starfield. However, Amadi has also played Martian Manhunter in Justice League: Warworld and Green Lantern: Beware My Power, Zosar ‘Zeus’ Kalu in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and Atriox in Halo Infinite.

Griffin Puatu – Ganke Lee

Miles’ best friend and now a friend to Peter, MJ, and even Harry, Ganke still plays a part in supporting our favorite Spider-Men thanks to their technical know-how. Thankfully, Griffin Puatu reprises their roles as Ganke Lee in Spider-Man 2 PS5 as well.

Puatu is perhaps most well known for his roles as Bosch in Street Fighter 6 and Dohalim il Qaras in Tales of Arise – one of the best RPG games. However, Puatu has also have various roles across WarioWare: Move It!, Atlas Fallen, Silent Hill: Ascension, Nier, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and more, though these are largely smaller roles

And that’s all the Spider-Man 2 cast and voice actors in the PS5 game. With our heroes pushed to their limits and several intimidating Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 villains knocking on their doors, there’s plenty of excellent performances, especially with a cast list this stacked. Once you’ve finished this Game of the Year nominee, why not check out all the new PS5 games on the horizon? There’s plenty more to be excited about.
